Can’t See the Forest for the Trees

Posted on November 13, 2020November 13, 2020 by theflogblog

How is your career going? How are all of the different facets of your life? Is your career in a lull? Are you in the midst of ridiculous fights with any of your close friends or family? Do you feel stressed or anxious daily? I answered yes to many of these types of questions about a year ago. I was miserable, but I had trouble identifying why.

Sometimes, it’s tough to see what’s clear in front of your face. I thought all of the things that were going wrong with my life were separate, but they weren’t. They all stemmed from the toxic boy I was with. It’s amazing how you could be so blind to something that eventually becomes so obvious. I divorced my ex and all of the sudden, some of my strained friendships healed. My baby started sleeping more and screaming less. My dog, who had started losing hair and was trembling constantly, all of the sudden had new hair growth and was once again running and frolicking. I wasn’t enjoying my job. All of the sudden, I got an amazing new job that was not only really exciting work, but as a bonus, I would be making more money.

Once you identify the negative thing or person in your life and remove it, everything falls into place. I now have the very real possibility of purchasing not only a great house soon, but one I never thought I would be able to afford. Just a few months ago, I thought I would never be able to afford any home.

If you’re having trouble seeing the forest for the trees, step back, take a breath and try to figure out what is causing stress or anxiety in your life.
